Samish Island Community Club
(S.I.C.C.)

All residents and owners of property with addresses on Samish Island 18 years of age or older are members of the Samish Island Community Club.

Dues of $15 are voluntary. Your dues help support the community club building and island activities. Additional contributions are welcome. You are invited to participate in fundraisers during the year. Dues collection is held in January, but the club accepts dues any time during the year. Please send dues to our Treasurer, Samish Island Community Club, P.O. Box 268, Bow, WA 98232 .

A seven-member Board of Directors (listed below) oversees the finances and activities on the island. Publications of the Club are the Shore Lines Newsletter and the Samish Island Web Site. The S.I.C.C. bylaws and policies are posted on this website. Have suggestions? Give the S.I.C.C. Board your feedback.

The Annual meeting of the S.I.C.C. is held in January each year. Potluck meetings in May and September feature speakers or activities of interest. Other events are listed under Festivals & Events at the left.

S.I.C.C. Hall Rentals: the Hall may be rented by Island Residents for weddings, memorial services, parties, or other activities. Cost is $75-$100 per day, depending on membership in S.I.C.C., plus a damage deposit. The Community Hall is located at 11292 Blue Heron Road. For more information, see the photos page.

All reservations are listed below as (reserved, paymt pending) until we receive your payment. We will attempt to notify you if another reservation is made for the same day, but a firm reservation is a paid reservation.

Tuck this into your mind if you lose power during winter storms and cold weather: The community hall is usually open for community use in emergencies (unless there is a paid event scheduled and it is actually going on!). There is propane heat and propane oven & cooktop, a fireplace, and perhaps shared food with neighbors in the same condition. All board members have keys, and Blue Heron Road usually has electric power. You can bring games, food, snacks, wood to burn, and have fun while awaiting the return of your power. Don't be cold. Come warm yourself in the company of neighbors.
