Note: The community hall is usually open for community use in emergencies. There is propane heat and propane oven & cooktop, and perhaps shared food with neighbors in the same condition. All board members have keys, and Blue Heron Road usually has electric power. You can bring games, food, snacks, fireplace wood, and have fun while awaiting the return of your power. Don't be cold. Come warm yourself in the company of neighbors.

How
to Rent the Community Hall

|
Before
Renting 2).
Schedule the hall by phoning Eileen Andersen at 766-8202,
or email her at info@samishisland.net to reserve your event on
the calendar above. Your name will appear on the calendar (reserved, paymt
pending), until we receive your fee and deposit checks. You may borrow
the key beforehand for a walk through. Arrange this with Eileen 4). If you are serving liquor at your event, the Liquor Control Board banquet permit may apply to you. A banquet permit is not required when all of the following apply, according to their web site: a) The event is hosted by an individual, not an organization or business entity. b) There is no charge for admission for anything provided at the function (e.g., mixer, setup, ice, food, hors doeuvres, etc.). "Charge" includes admission charge, donation, dues, fees, or otherwise. c) The function would normally be held in the individuals private home, but for space considerations, is held in a facility that is: 1) closed off to the general public during the function, and 2) does not have a liquor license. More FAQ's at the LCB web site. 5). Key: Call Eileen to schedule key pickup (evening before or morning of). Checking the hall the day before the rental helps determine what you might need that is not there. Day of
