| March Tuesdays | Yoga will continue each Tuesday through May, 9:30 a.m. to 11:am at the Community of Christ Church. All are welcome. $10. |

| March 30 | Soothing Waters opens its 11th season. Warm water therapy for body, mind and spirit is offered. |
| Mar 23 | Edgewater Garden Club Meeting. Coffee social 9:45, business meeting will begin at 10:15 AM. Our program, "Edible Plants and Perennials” (Organic food production for the home gardener) will be presented by Casey Schoenberger from Christianson's Nursery, and will begin at 11:00 AM. All are welcome! |

| April 1-30 | The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is ongoing in April. As tulips are early this year, the fields may be lively after March 15, and end before April 15 - come early before they are gone. Many other activities go throughout the month of April though. |

Summer Residents: Welcome Back! Consider contributing to the community club annual dues $15, which brings you the newsletter, helps support the community hall, and promotes community events. Send dues to the Samish Island Community Club Treasurer at the SICC P.O. Box with your directory card filled out. Dont forget tide calendars and community phone directories are available at Blaus, most of the summer. Summer Fun with an overflow group? You can arrange to rent the Community Hall. Check the SICC web site for the hall schedule, then call Eileen Andersen at 766-8202 or email info@samishisland.net |

The Wednesday Farmer's Market, at the Skagit Valley Hospital, is every Wednesday from 2:30 to 5:30pm, and runs from June thru September, 2009. |

The Mount Vernon Farmer's Market begins its 2009 season, Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. The Saturday Market is held in downtown Mount Vernon at Gates and Main - it runs from May 30 to October 17, 2009. You may also want to check out the Anacortes & Bellingham farmers markets. |

Samish Island-Wide Yard Sale Day. Plan your garage sale for this day. Time is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All islanders are invited to join in for the $10 fee for collective advertising, balloon, markers, etc. |

Notecards, hats, visors, Samish Island Book, will be for sale at the Community Hall. |

| Nov to Feb. | If winter storms leave you without power, heat, or ways to cook, come to the community hall - the oven, cooktop and heat are propane, and North Beach often has power & lights when other part of the island do not. Bring games, food to cook, and enjoy the time with others in the same situation. Contact the Community Club president for the key or more information. |
| December | Tide Calendars adjusted for Samish Island are available at Blau Oyster. $2.50, makes a great stocking stuffer. All sales benefit SICC. |
| Dec 2-4 | Garden Club: Join the fun of making wreaths and swags to benefit Camp Kirby, The Samish Island Fire Department and Friendship House. We start at 10:00 a.m. and work until 2:00 p.m. each day. Bring greens from trimmings, windfalls, etc. Bring hand pruners and wire cutters. Everyone is invited to come and learn how, and to help make wreaths for community mailboxes and doorways. |

The "Samish Island Sitting Band" begins playing at 6:30 p.m. Samish Island Band meets at 5:30 for final program rehearsal. Program begins at 6:30 p.m. Kitty Bluhm needs people for the Christmas program. If you sing, tell stories, have a poem to read, a skit to offer, or just like to help out somehow, contact Kitty at 766-4236.
